South Elementary has been recognized as the Signature School of the Year by the Piedmont Triad Educational Consortium. Board members, the Interim Superintendent, the Elementary Curriculum Director, the School Principal, and Faculty representatives attended the ceremony and received a plaque in honor of this achievement.

Due to pending inclement weather, the Board of Education meeting scheduled for Monday, December 8, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. has been cancelled.  The rescheduled meeting will take place on Monday, December 15, 2025 @ 4:30 p.m.

Caswell County Schools has been awarded $18.8 million through the state's Needs-Based Public School Capital Fund (NBPSCF) for the complete renovation of Oakwood Elementary School. This grant will address major safety and operational issues currently affecting the learning environment and provide students with a modern, safe facility.
